Keeping Kenilworth Colourful- Help Clinton School By Recycling Your Ink Cartridges at Waitrose
Clinton Primary School have teamed up with Eco-Fundraising initiative, The Ink Bin, to recycle their community's ink cartridges and fundraise for their Green Team's projects. Did you know that it takes up to 1000 years for an ink cartridge to decompose in landfill? They are incredibly simple to recycle yet 80% of us drop them straight into our household rubbish collections.
Clinton School in Kenilworth, near Coventry, are striving towards a green status with the introduction of the ‘Green Team’ and are keen to help their community with recycling many different things. The school have introduced a pupil led 'plastic free champion' and now host plastic free events throughout the year. They already recycle crisp packets and will now be collecting any home-use ink cartridge for recycling too.
The Ink Bin will recycle every last home-use ink cartridge which they receive and will give Clinton School up to £1.10 for certain HP and Canon inkjet cartridges. The Ink Bins will be set up in the school office for pupils and parents of Clinton Primary School to recycle the ink cartridges which they use at home.
A community wide collection will be placed in Waitrose in Kenilworth - it is located next to the bag recycling collections at the far end of the tills. Please do drop your home-use cartridges in when you shop- every last cartridge makes a difference. The Ink Bin recycle every last cartridge sent to us.
We would like to offer our heartfelt thanks to this local Waitrose Store for supporting such a worthy cause and helping the school's pupils in keeping the world colourful! Any money raised through the recycling will go towards helping Clinton become even greener! We look forward to updating you on how the collection goes and how the school have used their ecofundraising monies!
